Chez Shea is the studio practice of Shea Sheehan, whose lifelong relationship with orizomé - an ancient Japanese technique of folding and dyeing paper - infuses her work with joyful spontaneity and deep reverence for process. What began as a family tradition of hand-dyed wrapping paper evolved into a singular design voice, where no two patterns are ever the same, and color unfolds through both intention and surprise.

Working from her home studio in Atlanta, Shea transforms delicate paper pieces into vibrant, contemporary patterns - each one digitally translated to preserve the texture, bleeding edges, and nuance of the original dyes. The result is a collection that captures the ephemeral beauty of hand-dyeing while offering the durability and flexibility needed for interior use. Chez Shea’s textiles are available to the trade for upholstery, drapery, and soft goods, bringing soulful pattern and saturated color to spaces that invite warmth, curiosity, and joy.
